This Privacy Policy explains how Daystamp (the "App") handles information. The App is published by B&N Software s. r. o. ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at support@bnsoftware.org.
In short: the App works entirely on your iPhone. We do not collect, receive or store any personal data from the App, and the App sends nothing to us or to anyone else.
1. Data processed on your device
- Location. If you allow it, the App uses iOS location services (significant location changes and visits) to find out which country you are in. The country is determined on your device, offline, using country borders built into the App. Coordinates are used only for this and are never saved. You can allow access "While Using" or "Always", or turn it off at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services. Without location access you can still add days manually.
- Days by country. For each day the App stores the date, the country code (for example, "PT") and how it was detected. This is kept in storage that belongs to the App on your iPhone and is shared with nothing except the App's own widget.
- Your edits and settings. Days you add or correct, the counting rule, thresholds, home country and similar settings are stored on your device.
- Notifications. Threshold alerts are scheduled locally on your device.
Your travel history is personal data. It never leaves your device unless you export it yourself (see section 3), and we never receive it.
The App does not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, Apple Health or advertising identifier, and it does not need the internet to work.
2. What we do not do
- We have no accounts, servers or databases for the App.
- We do not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising, tracking or third-party SDKs.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal data, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
3. Exports and backups
- CSV export and backup files are created on your device and go only where you choose to save or send them. Whoever you share them with is responsible for them.
- Depending on your settings, the App's data may be included in your iCloud or computer backups of the device. This is managed by you and Apple.
4. Services provided by Apple
Some features rely on Apple, which handles data as an independent controller under its own terms and privacy policy, not on our behalf:
- Purchases. Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; we do not receive your name, payment details or Apple ID. The App only asks the App Store, on your device, whether Pro is active.
- Location services, widgets and notifications are provided by iOS on your device.

5. If you contact us
If you write to support@bnsoftware.org, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use this only to answer you, based on our legitimate interest in replying to your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep the correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request and in any case no longer than 2 years, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. We do not share it with anyone except the provider of our email service, which stores it on our behalf.
6. Our website
Our website bnsoftware.org, where this policy is published, does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse.
7. Retention and deletion
Data in the App stays on your device until you delete it. To delete it, use Settings → Delete all data in the App, or delete the App. Exported files and device backups are managed by you.
8. Your rights
If the GDPR or similar laws apply to you, you have the right to access, correct and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing and to data portability, within the limits set by law. For data in the App you can exercise these rights directly on your device, because we never receive it; CSV export gives you a copy of your data. For correspondence with us, write to support@bnsoftware.org.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU country where you live or work. In Slovakia this is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (dataprotection.gov.sk).
9. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age set by the law of your country. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
10. Security
Your data is protected by the security features of iOS, such as data protection while your device is locked with a passcode. Keep your device secure and up to date.
11. Changes to this policy
If the way the App handles data changes, we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.
